MAKING OUR WAY SOUTH

Thursday, August 4th (day 128)  Arrived Gorge Harbor

We arrived early afternoon. The docks were full so we anchored out and got cleaned up. The dingy was in tow, many friends recommended this stop over so we checked it out. They have a great dingy dock, small grocery, the grounds are immaculate  and a wonderful eatery.  We enjoyed an excellent afternoon dining on tapas on the patio overlooking the harbor.

Nice fuel dock...

Tapas dining next to the welcome Totem.

Dink dock.

View from our table.....

ours is one of those...

John is waiting on a "passer by bench" while I'm in the store.

Reservations for 7pm :-)

They even had live music!

Sunday, August 7th (day 131) Blind Bay

We were heading to Thunder Bay for over night anchorage but decided on Blind Bay instead. We had already been to Thunder Bay while heading north on May 16th. Man, that seems like a VERY VERY long time ago. We loaded the dink this time and left the dock appx 9:30 am. The ships log reads "It's raining again!-) But we did have a nice push heading out. At 2pm it feels like the passage is dragging on & on & on. Then we had some excitement from some Canadian friends, John and Darlene on Ocean Osprey, a Selene 57. They saw us on AIS and called on the VHF radio. It was great to hear from them. They're trip north was delayed due to boat transmission problems. We crossed paths, they were heading north and we south. We got up on the flybridge and waved like crazy! Nice way to brighten the day! And of course it was a photo op....
