Patches knows something up, and not to happy about it!
She loves her Grammy.
The retired "landscaper from hell" no longer has a crew.

Granddaughter Taytem spent the night,
learned to play backgammon and this morning
she  has the winning roll against her Papa, double sixes!

Patches yearns to be a boat doggie!

Our son Seth and granddaughter Kenzi look after our house while we are traveling.
Thanks Kids!

She loves sleeping in the sun...

Out to dinner with best friend Bill and John at Ojahs before we leave.
Many great memories of traveling all over with him.
We're hoping he gets to visit us on the boat this year.

We decided to take the California route back to the boat this time. That allowed us to stop in the Channel
Islands to take a look at Bella Luna a Selene 55' that is on the market.
Our broker, Jeff Merrill, jmys.com arranged us to meet Capt. Paul Wolff for a personal tour.
Truly a beautiful boat with ALL the amenities! We highly recommend her to anyone who's shopping.
Hillsides on the 101 in Cali greener than we've ever seen!
On our way to visit our good friends, the Anderson's.

We arrived at our friends for the weekend!!!
Thanks Bari and Phil...we have missed you!

We spent Saturday outside in the hills shooting.
Mountains above Santa Maria California... stunning views!

Dead eye... John...

We stayed the night in Medford, OR this time.
Stopped by to pay our respects to John's Mom with some flowers.

We arrived at our marina...It was nice to take the leisure time on the drive up!

Once we made our way to Pairadice at Salpare Bay Marina,
on the Columbia River, it was all about maintenance.
Engine room maintenance included; complete services on main generator,
valve adjustment, surpintine belt replacement, oil and filter changes, etc.

Yet again, removed 300' of rhode from the locker.

...and marked it with orange every 25', orange and white is every 100'.

We did make time to visit with friends.
Zues belongs to John and Cindy. I love this boat doggie!

Stocked & inventoried ships stores under the settee.

Shopped and provisioned...

...and more engine supplies! I hope he has room to store this!

There is no shortage of teak to clean and polish!
My job was to scrub the finders and
replace them with the cleaned socks.
Cleaning the outside window curtains.
This is the app we use for wind and wave conditions. This determines if we go or don't go!
You can zoom in to your location, use date and time variables, etc. This is a daily exercise.

Friday April 14th we took Pairadice out for her shakedown cruise on the Columbia River.

...and fueling. She only needed 540 gallons to satisfy her 1000 gallon holding capacity.
Our last top off was in Oak Harbor last September.

Good thing we stock plenty of dog treats!  They talk to me and in return I give them treats!

John removed all the canvas, stored it in the truck, then we stored the truck.

We had amazing skies the night before our voyage began.
How often do you actually get to see the end of the rainbow?
