Change comes with every New Year. 2018 finds us with new challenges. Number One is getting back to the boat and accomplishing our summer plans. Before that can be done many decisions had to made and an action timeline put in place. This is apparently ongoing, regardless of what year it is:-) In fact, that is what keeps us happy and healthy!
This is our 4th year owning our 47' Selene Ocean Trawler, Pairadice which we keep in Portland. 2015 was the purchase and refit. 2016 we accomplished our first Columbia Bar crossing, heading north and explored the the Inside Passage of Canada. 2017 found us passing by the familiar territory of Canada to explore Alaska, and fill the freezer with fish! And that we did!
Our plan for 2018 is underway on the Columbia and Snake Rivers to Idaho. We are currently in progress... traversing and gaining experiencing many locks! I am tardy with this post. Stay tuned while I try to catch up!
The plan for 2019 is leaving the Columbia River and heading south! Exploring the California coast, Baja Mexico, Sea of Cortez, etc.
The dominos continue to be stacked. The major challenge was selling our beloved primary home in Las Vegas. We chose Finisterre in 2007, had it built and landscaped to our specs.
It has proved to be a wonderful experience, hosting many family gatherings and numerous special friends. It is now time to move on, the seas are calling! But first there is lots to do!

Ok enough of that! The downsizing began, we used ebay, Craigslist and had a large yard sale. Finally blessed the Harley Road King and said good bye. Once the house was polished and all the repairs were complete, we built our timeline. The house went on the the market and we had offers before we even got back to the boat.
To our surprise, it sold right away!
Once the house was on the market we headed to our moorage in Portland, OR in order to get Pairadice ready for our summer passage east on the Columbia River.
